cowgirlblues is a Cape Town-based dye house and design studio specialising in South African wool and mohair. Started by Bridget Henderson, who after an MBA at Insead, a stint at Luis Vuitton Moet Hennessy in Paris, and a successful career as a strategy consultant returned to Cape Town and took up knitting again, experimenting with texture, patterns and colour. Frustrated at not being able to find suitable wool locally, she decided to start spinning and dyeing her own, and so the cowgirlblues brand was born. cowgirlblues Merino Linen yarn blend is designed to be lightweight and perfect for everyday wear in a range of seasons. The large wool component gives a beautifully soft feel and the linen and viscose bring a lightness to the fibre.
